Berry Healthy: Almond Hot Chocolate

Hi lovelies! How's the November weather where you live? Over here it's still pretty hot but just recently the temperature started to drop and you know what goes perfect with cold weather? Delicious hot chocolate! Today I want to share with you a way to make Hot chocolate with a itty bitty healthy twist, hope you enjoy :)

You will need:

♡ Also have a blender, mixer, or Magic Bullet ready for blending the ingredients

Just a little note before we get started, I have nothing against 2% milk, I love the stuff, but my body just recently started rejecting cows milk so I decided to make hot coco with almond milk instead. Hehe, just wanted to say that just in case you're like: "Wait so cows milk isn't healthy?! *cue horror screeching music*" Okay, okay. Enough with the jokes, let's get started :)

First add 1 cup of Almond Milk into the blender (or mixing device), today I decided to use a weird little device called a "Magic Bullet Blender" only because the clean up is faster and in the morning I'm always in a rush to start my day!

Next add all your spices into the mix, aka the cinnamon, pumpkin spice, and nutmeg. While I was making this I added 1/4 tsp of everything only because I love spicy drinks but if you into a mild drink I would highly suggest adding only 1/8th of all the ingredients mentioned.

Oh and don't forget to add a few drops of vanilla concentrate into the mix!

Now for my favorite part, adding sweetener! Personally I enjoy the natural taste of honey and I got this batch from a local guy (who we call the bee guy) at a honey farm. Now I know you might be thinking, really Sierra, why do you need organic raw honey? Well because most honey sold in stores around the US kill all the important nurturance by cooking it to death, but raw honey leaves in all the good stuff for your body to enjoy!

And don't worry, all my vegans out there, instead of using honey you can add normal sugar or agave for your sweetener!

Random fact, did you know that honey is a natural way to prevent seasonal allergies? :)

Okay, so confession time, I used a microwave... I know, I know! Don't kill me, haha. I was short on time and let's face it, waiting for a tea kettle to heat up is annoying! But if you want to make this drink truly healthy I would suggest heating up the almond milk on the stove and don't be a cheater like me. :)
Once your drink is warm and well mixed sprinkle a little bit of vanilla powder on top and... Voilà!  You're ready to enjoy your deliciously healthy drink
